My approach

When you're making the decision to start therapy it's really important you consider the therapist you will be working with. This is how I would describe my approach:

Compassionate
Collaborative
eVIDENCE-BASED

I offer a compassionate and empathetic approach to create an open space where you feel safe to share your personal experiences.

I will bring the evidence-based strategies in order to scaffold your knowledge and encourage you to put this learning into practice.

I will encourage you to take a proactive part. We will be working together as a team, you will bring the expertise of your life to our sessions.

My qualifications and experience

I am a fully qualified and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT Therapist) registered with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
I completed a 3-year degree in Psychology with Forensic Investigation at Canterbury Christ Church University and then went on to study for a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology at the University of Kent.

I completed a post-graduate certificate in psychological wellbeing and trained within the NHS as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, where I worked within a talking therapies service supporting adults experiencing depression and anxiety disorders using cognitive behavioural therapy-based techniques. I went on to train and work as a supervisor within this role.

I then completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies at the University of Sussex, qualifying me to work as a CBT therapist. I currently continue to work for the NHS within a Talking Therapies service, supporting adults with depression and anxiety disorders.
